Our Desert Safari Cancellation Policy at a Glance
This cancellation policy explains what happens if you need to cancel, reschedule or change a booking with Desert Leap Safari Tourism L.L.C., and what happens if we need to change a tour. It applies to every desert safari in Dubai we operate, as well as our other tours and activities.
Please read it together with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy before you book.
Rescheduling
You can reschedule once for free if you ask at least 24 hours before the tour, subject to availability.
Requests made within 24 hours of the tour are treated as cancellations.
Company-Initiated Cancellation
We may cancel or reschedule tours due to bad weather, safety concerns, operational issues or force majeure. If this happens, you can choose:

Right to cancel or amend tours: Desert Leap Safari Tourism L.L.C. reserves the right to cancel or amend any tour at any time. Amendments may include changes to the itinerary, pickup or start times, vehicles, campsite or included activities. If we cancel a tour, you may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund as set out above.
Refund Process
- Refunds go back to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
- Bank and payment gateway fees are non-refundable.

Group & Private Bookings
Bookings for 10+ participants or private tours may have separate terms, which we share at the time of booking. Where no separate terms are given, this cancellation policy applies.
Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes will be handled by the Courts of Dubai.

Share your booking details
Include your name, tour date and booking reference so we can find your reservation quickly. If you booked for a group, tell us how many guests the change affects.

Get confirmation
We confirm the cancellation or new date in writing. Any refund due under this cancellation policy is then processed.
The time of your request is what counts under the cancellation policy, so contact us as early as you can.
Weather, Safety and Tour Changes
Desert conditions in Dubai can change quickly. Sandstorms, heavy rain, extreme heat warnings or road closures can make a dune drive unsafe. When that happens, guest safety comes first and we may cancel, delay or amend the tour. Under this cancellation policy, if we cancel, you can choose a new date or a full refund. Our team will contact you as soon as possible using the details you gave when booking.

Cancellation Timeline: A Worked Example
The deadlines in our cancellation policy are counted back from the scheduled start time of your tour, which is usually your pickup time. Here is how it works for an evening desert safari with a pickup at 3:00 PM on Saturday:
- Cancel before 3:00 PM on Thursday (48+ hours before)Full refund
- Cancel between 3:00 PM Thursday and 3:00 PM Friday50% refund
- Cancel after 3:00 PM on Friday, or miss the pickupNo refund
To move the same tour to another day at no cost, send your reschedule request before 3:00 PM on Friday. After that point, a change of date is treated as a cancellation. All times are Gulf Standard Time (GST, UTC+4), so if you are writing to us from another country, please allow for the time difference.
Rescheduling or Cancelling: Which Is Better Under Our Cancellation Policy?
If you still want to experience the desert but your dates have changed, rescheduling is usually the better choice. A reschedule requested at least 24 hours before the tour is free, so you keep the full value of your booking even inside the 48-hour window where a cancellation would only return 50%. Remember that the free reschedule can be used once, and the new date depends on availability, so it helps to suggest two or three dates that work for you.
If you no longer plan to join any tour, a cancellation under the cancellation policy is the simpler option. Cancel as early as possible to receive the highest refund, and keep in mind that refunds are returned to the original payment method within 7–10 business days. Bank and payment gateway charges are not refunded, as they are charged by the payment provider rather than by us.

Book with flexible dates
If your travel plans are not fixed yet, book a date you are confident about. A free reschedule is available once, as long as you ask at least 24 hours before the tour.
Contact us early
The earlier you tell us about a change, the more options you have. Requests 48 hours or more before the tour qualify for a full refund under this cancellation policy.
Double-check pickup details
Missing a pickup counts as a no-show under our cancellation policy. Make sure your hotel or address, phone number and pickup time are correct when you book.
If you are travelling with children, elderly guests or anyone with a health condition, read the tour details carefully before booking.
