What’s Different About Dune Bashing in a Hummer?

Licensed desert drivers, full safety equipment, and seatbelts on at all times. The Hummer’s capability means the “adventurous” setting is genuinely adventurous — and the “gentle” setting, for families and nervous guests, is genuinely gentle. Just tell your driver.

The camp

Shared camp, open seating, generous buffet, and the full show programme. Hummer guests arrive together and are seated together; the VIP lounge can be added if you want table service.

Comfort

This is the roomiest shared safari we run — taller guests and families with growing kids notice it immediately on the highway legs.

Weather

October to April is peak season; winter evenings cool fast after sunset, so bring a layer for the camp. In summer the H2’s strong air conditioning makes the transfer legs notably more comfortable than guests expect.

Photography

Three set pieces: the Hummer against the red dunes at the sunset stop, the untracked bowls beyond it, and the fire show after dark. Your driver knows the angles that make the H2 look its size.

Accessibility

Strollers: Easily carried — the Hummer’s cargo space is one of its quiet advantages for families.

Wheelchair users: The H2’s high step-in and the dune terrain make the standard tour unsuitable; contact us about adapted camp-focused arrangements.

Infants: Children under 3 cannot join dune bashing; a private Hummer booking lets the drive be softened or skipped so infants can reach the camp.

Seniors: The high, supportive seating and adjustable drive make the Hummer one of our more senior-friendly shared options — request a gentle session.

Physical Requirements: Dune bashing remains unsuitable during pregnancy and for guests with back, neck, or heart conditions; the camp evening is open to all.

Best Time to Visit

October to April for weather; the small Hummer fleet means winter weekends sell out around a week ahead.

What to Wear

Comfortable clothes and sandy-proof footwear, plus a jacket for winter evenings at the camp.

What to Bring

Camera or phone, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a little cash for optional extras at the camp.
