Desert safaris operate all year, but the best time to enjoy one is during the cooler months. The winter period from November to March offers the most pleasant weather, with mild daytime temperatures and cooler nights. During these months, you can enjoy all outdoor desert activities comfortably. In the summer (roughly May to August), tours still run. Still, the desert heat during the day can be extreme – if you visit in hot months, an evening or overnight safari (when temperatures drop) is more comfortable.

It depends on your preferences. A morning desert safari is ideal if you enjoy cooler mornings, smaller crowds, and an early start. Morning tours offer beautiful sunrise views and thrilling dune drives, then conclude around noon (no dinner or night shows are included in this tour). In contrast, a vip Desert safari in dubai offers a more extensive experience – you'll get a scenic sunset over the dunes, followed by a lively camp atmosphere with a BBQ dinner and live cultural performances under the stars. If you want a peaceful, short adventure, choose morning; for a complete desert experience with dinner and shows, the evening safari is better.

Wear light, comfortable clothes and closed shoes or sports shoes. Avoid heavy jewellery and very tight dresses. In winter evenings, carry a light jacket. Sunglasses and sunblock are helpful for both morning desert safari and evening tours.

Yes, desert safaris in Dubai are generally safe if you go with a licensed operator – they use experienced drivers and follow safety protocols. All the dune bashing is done in 4×4 vehicles equipped with seatbelts and roll cages, and drivers are trained for off-road desert terrain. That said, the dune drive can be bumpy, so we do not recommend it for pregnant women or those with severe back or heart conditions, to be on the safe side. Very young children (typically under 3 years old) should also refrain from participating in the rough dune-bashing portion, as the terrain can be too harsh for toddlers. Children above that age can usually join – most tour companies allow kids around 5 years and up for dune bashing, and require those under 12 to be accompanied by an adult for all rides. If you have any concerns, you can request to skip the dune bashing (many operators can take you directly to the camp, while others do the dune driving).

Yes. Almost all desert safari tours in Dubai include round-trip transportation as part of the package. Tour operators will pick you up from your hotel or a designated meeting point in the city and drive you out to the desert in a 4×4 vehicle, then drop you back after the safari. Standard packages use shared vehicles (you and other guests ride together in a Land Cruiser or similar). If you prefer a more exclusive ride, we offer a private transfer option at an additional cost, ensuring you and your group have a vehicle to yourselves. The drive to the desert typically takes 45–60 minutes from central Dubai, and having it included makes the experience convenient and hassle-free for travelers.
